D2S - Dynamic to Static Converter

D2S diagramD2S optimizes website visibility and fixes problems related to searching on dynamic data base content by republishing dynamic pages as static ones.

It sounds easy but there are many intricacies involved with dynamic to static webpage conversion, such as SE page optimization, the ability to avoid SE exclusion related to banning and GoogleBot and Slurp dialysis to name only a few. To be successful, there are many other considerations such as those listed below:

    1. Although it is critical to optimize your website’s visibility for Search Engines, it must be done in such a way that it does not put you at risk for success with dynamic SE’s such as Google.

    2. Our automated optimization process must consider page related keywords as well as actual database entries.

    3. A solution developed with static pages must be capable of reflecting ongoing database and products changes.

    4. Search engine guidelines do no support the process of serving different pages to spiders (crawlers) and visitors. This must be considered when building a successful dynamic to static conversion solution.

    5. Pure static URLs must be created, ending with keywords such as “your-key-word.htm” (verses Apache configurations that generate page references like “12345.html”).

    6. Sitemaps are required and must be built dynamically. Dynamic sitemaps must meet all sitemap guidelines, such as the “90 links” restriction rule.

    7. Although static pages must deploy links persistent to detail pages, shopping carts, menus, etc., in the originating dynamic site, they must also be linked to each other as an independent static website (static link -> link to -> static page).

As you can see, there are many complexities involved in ensuring your products and services are made visible to leading search engines. Although trusted techniques with XML feeds are often considered, they have proven to be much more expensive and they still do not fill SE requirements for interaction with static pages. With D2S it is finally possible to make your site content visible, at all levels – homepages, categories and products.

    The D2S Benefits

    Breaking News: Yahoo WebRank

It seems Yahoo is going the same route as Google and is now displaying a Pagerank on their toolbar. Yahoo calls it Yahoo! Web Rank.

Yahoo! Web Rank is the name that Yahoo has given to a technical measurement of a particular URL’s popularity. If you choose to enable the Yahoo! Web Rank feature on the Yahoo Companion Toolbar, a toolbar icon will display the Yahoo! Web Rank value of each URL that you visit. The Yahoo! Web Rank values range from 1 to 10.

How does Yahoo Web Rank work?

The Yahoo! Web Rank feature of the Yahoo! Companion Toolbar works by collecting anonymous URL data about the page you are visiting. This anonymous URL data is sent to the Yahoo! Companion servers, and a Yahoo! Web Rank value is returned to the Yahoo! Companion Toolbar as one measurement of the popularity of the Web page or URL you are visiting. You will see a small icon on your Yahoo! Companion Toolbar displaying the Web Rank value (on a scale of 1 to 10) of the site you are currently visiting. The Web Rank values are calculated using a sophisticated scoring algorithm that provides a measure of the popularity of the Web page or Web site that you are visiting.
