Summary
The following are results of Acroterion project with Ice.com, the leading online jewelry retailer (Fortune Magazine, New York Times).
Challenge
Indexing non-common search phrases and increasing traffic with misspelled keywords.
Solution Demonstration
- Search Google for “Birthstone Jewelery” (without the quotations). Ice.com ranked on the top five results, even though this product does not exist with Ice.com catalog (it exist without the typo).
- Search Google for “anniversary bands” (without the quotations). Ice.com ranked on the top ten results, for the plural version of the “band” keyword, even though Ice.com catalog built by singular item descriptions only.
- Look carefully for the URL retrieved by Google – It’s the Internal Search Page, not the product page.
- The interface for Ice.com built on Java platform with Celebros Intranet Search Technology.
Results
